About AJAC
The Associação Jauense de Ambiente e Cultura was founded in March 2017 in order to act in defense of the environment and the cultural heritage of Jaú, in addition to stimulating and agglutinating those who practice photography as art or leisure.
Even though it is a new institution, the performance of its members with the mentioned segments goes back to an older period, about a decade before its formal constitution.
As an extension of its performance, this project is characterized by necessary guidelines, as well as by the establishment of fundamental partnerships. Thus, the defense of campaigns such as the preservation of Marambaia, a region located at the mouth of the Jaú river that encompasses the borders of the territories of Jaú, Itapuí and Bariri and the partnership and support to RPPN Amadeu Botelho, in the city of Jaú.
AJAC, as it has been called since its implementation, is affiliated with the Brazilian Confederation of Photography (CONFOTO), with several of its founders working in the field of photography, including representing the city in several national and international competitions.
In this sense, AJAC supports the implementation of a photographic contest that can sustain the defense of nature photography, without forgetting the other segments and categories of this artistic expression.
